I have been doing CrossFit since October 28, 2013. Yes, I remember my first day of CrossFit because I discovered it during a rather dark point in my life, and it truly was a life saver for me. It was love at first WOD for me.
I have played sports my entire life. I played basketball and baseball from the time I could walk, and took up golf shortly after. I love to compete but I love to train just as much, Working out has always been an important part of my life, but I also had no idea what I was doing. Before CrossFit, I never squatted a day in my life! I would rotate days of arms and chest and daily abs. I thought all that mattered was looking good and that made me fit. Starting CrossFit was a humbling experience. I never realized a 7-10 minute workout could leave me gasping for air, but then again, you don’t get too out of breath doing bicep curls…
I have always had a passion for helping people. I have coached several basketball teams over the years, and I have been coaching CrossFit for about four years now. It is so fun to see people learn the fundamentals, and to see the improvement over the weeks and months as their mechanics, body, and mindset change.
Besides CrossFit, my other passions include spending time with my wife Sienna, hanging out with our dog Jax, spending time with my family in El Dorado Hills, and getting outdoors on the golf course or trails. My full-time job is being a loan officer, which I have been doing since 2015 and I absolutely love it! Getting to be a part of the biggest purchase of someone’s life and seeing their happy face at the end makes it such a rewarding job!
