BARBELL CLUB

This class provides an opportunity for members to focus on improving their technique and strength of the Olympic lifts, specifically, the Snatch, Clean, and Jerk, and their variations.

This class is open to all members and ability, fitness, experience levels.

Athletes will learn the movements in detail, incorporate drills for each lift, and sometimes analyze their technique on video to help get a good sense of what’s going right, what’s going wrong and how their mechanics can be improved to maximize the loads lifted.

The typical class format includes a warm up sequence, strength work, and then a brief conditioning session to re-enforce the neural pathways being built and improve strength. Athletes are provided with personal coaching throughout the class and attention to hone in their skills.
